Pair of Bernadelli Orion 12ga over/under shotguns nicely engraved, English style straight pistol grips, single trigger, auto ejectors, numbered in gold “I” and “II” serial #16802 and 16801. Gun number “16801”is number “2” and shows 28” barrels, low-profile ventilated rib, nicely filed, choked “Open” over “Cylinder”. The gun measures nearly 14-5/8” to the end of wood, 14-3/4”. The owner’s plaque is engraved “PH”identifying it as the personal property of Paul Henry, Consul to Costa Rica and a well-known shooter and collector. The bottom of the frame is marked Orione-E (ejector). The guns are nicely scroll engraved andmarked “Italo” “Bonomi”. The barrels shows 97-99% with some dried oil, would probably clean. The bores are excellent. The frame shows its original satin finish with some oxidation. The stocks are very good plus with some scratches and mars which are all minor, generally very good overall. Gun “1” is “16802”. (Note: it is unusual that the lower number gun be the higher number in the pair). The gun shows like configurations, identical
