Pair of 2 Colt Single Action Army revolvers, early black powder series in .45 caliber with 7 ½” barrels, serial numbers 30382 and 38663 made about 1874 to 1875. The pair has been finely restored showing a charcoal blue color finish with color case hardening and both pistols show one piece screw-less ivory grips with nice aging. The small parts are fire blued. The edges and markings are very crisp and sharp and also have been restored nicely. The pistols show matching serial numbers and black powder patent dates and early small parts. The actions are good and the bores are good. The pistols retain 90% to 95% of the restored finish and have a very pleasing look (The restorer was clever and did not try to make them look new). The cost of a pair of early single actions, ivory grips along with restoration we would estimate replacement at $8,000-$10,000 on today’s market. Est.:$3,000-$6,000.
