Pair of 16ga Purdey double-barrel side-lock shotguns with 28” barrels in Purdey leather over oak case, serial #19038 and 19039. Gun number 19038 is choked Open (right) and Cylinder (left), and shows an English style straight grip, checkered butt, double triggers, auto ejectors, is finely engraved in bank-note and floral scenes. Shows full Purdey address and made of Witworth steel. The barrels show reproofing for 2-3/4” shells and one oz. shot, with nitro proofs. The bores are fine to excellent and there is no problem with wall thickness. The gun has been English refurbished, possibly by Purdey, and shows 95-98% of old English reblue which was properly done, on barrels and triggerguard. The action has been lightly polished and shows traces of case hardening. The stock has been professionally refreshed. Gun number 19039 also measures 28”, is stocked identically, is choked Open and Open. The barrels also show full complement of proofs including proofing for 2-3/4”, and one oz shot. This Purdey is numbered “2” and a mate in dimensions to #1. Shows similar refinish with slightly more case hardening – about 10 to 20%. Also no problems with thickness of barrels and

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
