This pair of nineteenth century porcelain vases feature elaborate hand-painted waterfront landscape scenes and gold gilding around the top and base. Believed to be of French origin. Each measures approximately 10" high and 3" wide. Overall condition is excellent. Painted scenes are intact and there is noticeable wear to the gilding. There is a thin hairline roughly two inches long noticeable on the unside of the rim on one vase. These items come from a family who have been collecting European porcelain and glass for four generations. They reside on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York and may be seen by appointment.
