This pair of matching ceramic bisque figural lamps dates from the early to mid 20th century. Hand-decorated bases and figurines. Rewired and in fine working order. Depicted are male and female court figures dressed in French rococo period style. Estate fresh, they would benefit from a gentle cleaning. In the style of works by Meissen, Goldscheider, Sevres and Dresden. Excellent overall condition given age. Only known break is to the tip of the finger on the male figurine. Hairline crack on front/left side of base of male figurine. No restorations. Underside is felt-covered. No known hallmarks. Each were made in two sections. Each weighs approximately 6-8 lbs. Each measures 35" tall to top of finial. 9" deep and 6.75" wide. Plastic finials are not original.
