Original painting of the train 'Reno' by Carney Waller showing a Native American Indian on horseback firing a gun at the steam engine as it thunders through a desert in the American West, accomplished in acrylic on 23.5 x 17.5 canvas, signed and dated in the lower right corner, "Carney Waller, 1973." Framed to an overall size of 30.5 x 24.75, with the backing curiously noting: "Presented to Bob Shelton, President of Old Tucson Studios, 1967"; the backing may have been repurposed from another frame. In fine condition. Waller was a native of Alabama who helped to build sets on many Western films, including John Wayne's 1970 movie Rio Lobo.
