Covered in a Buff coating and then painted with auspicious cloud and other designs, this greyware-body wine container would have been stoppered during fermenting. 6-1/2" tall and 4-1/4" across at the base, the remaining paint is an auspicious Chinese Red and completely original and not reworked. No cracks or restoration to the Jar, but one chip on the underside is noted. A Warring States to Han Dynasty classic.
