This piece is attributed to Hubley Manufacturing Company, an American company that produced cast iron toys, doorstops, and other metal goods. The company was founded in 1894 by John E. Hubley in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It shows a painted dog, closely resembling an Irish Setter, constructed from cast iron. This would have been used to prop doors open over periods of time. It shows good condition overall but paint has chipped and cracked and oxidation is present. No major signs of damage is present. It measures 14 7/8" L x 4" W x 8 1/4" H and weighs 8 pounds and 6 ounces.
