<B>Page from a Tenth Century Lectionary in Greek</B></I> <BR>Greece. <BR>10th century.<BR>9" x 6 1/2" leaf, 15-1/2" x 18-5/8" frame.<BR>Single page from a tenth century lectionary (book of Epistle and Gospel readings) in Greek on heavy parchment. The two column text has been written by hand in dark brown ink, with accents in red ink; there is a decorative letter in the center column. The hole in the lower center of the parchment is a natural flaw in the material, not damage. The page is in good condition, with some natural discoloration of the lower right corner due to use.
