This ingot was found by a metal detector enthusiast in the Pacific Northwest. It was made from multiple pours (7). Holes were drilled and removed for a sample of the top and bottom layers and consistently was found between the two. The average content of the layers is 64% Iron, 17% chromium, 10% copper and 9% nickel. The alloy matched a form of stainless steel which was invented in 1913. This ingot was probably a product of metal recycling perhaps during WWII. HKA#62384
