For your consideration is this vintage Pabst Blue Ribbon Bock Beer flat top can, circa 1950s. The first major brewer to can beer was Pabst Brewing Company, which was established in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1844. Brewed for special occasions and holidays, bock style beer originates from Germany. First brewed in the 14th century by monks in the Einbeck region, the dark, malty style of beer was adopted by brewers in Munich. Here the name eventually adapted to that of Ein Bock, literally translating to “a billy goat”. To this day an image of a goat often appears on the labels of a “bock” beers. This flat top beer can features the Pabst Bock ribbon logo on the top, the Pabst Blue Ribbon logo on the face overlapping a silver looking "billy goat" with "bock beer" written in green below. "KEGLINED" logo stamp, 12 FL. OZS. Can is in fine condition exhibiting scratches from normal wear and usage. Measures 2.5"W x 4.75"L
