His 1952 stay in an Italian villa served as the inspiration for the Academy Award–winning 1994 film Il Postino. TLS in Spanish, signed “Neruda,” one page, 8.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, June 26, 1973. Untranslated letter to Dr. S. F. Jones, in the Department of Romantic Languages at Dalhousie University. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, scattered creasing and toning, mounting remnants to top edge, and chip to right edge.
