<hr align=left size=5 width=33% color=#778899>Organized in 1882 with the Duke of Manchester as chairman of the board, it was incorporated under WY law in 1883 as the third largest cattle company within the state with a capital of $1,500,000. Offered is the “<i>Report of the General Manager, Mr. Moreton Frewen, to the Shareholders at their first Annual General Meeting</i>.” Printed letter, 3pp, 4to, n.p., Jan 28, 1884. A fascinating overview of the year’s business including the affects of weather, reporting “<i>one of the worst hurricanes on record</i>” the previous spring and “<i>incessant rain</i>” which prolonged the general spring ‘round up’ until August, also discussed are marketing practices, bottom line figures, calf yields, dividend forecasts and expenses. Fine example missed by Adams. The 76 brand had been purchased in 1879 from Tim Foley, a rancher on the Sweetwater. Its range extended from the headwaters of Powder River and part of the Tongue River south through central WY to the Teapot Rock divide—some 90 miles north and south—by 30 miles eastward from the Big Horn. During its peak years of 1883-84, at the time of this report, between 45,000 and 80,000 cattle were on the three ranches plus Alberta, Canada. Scarce Western historical document.

12. Payment is expected immediately upon receipt of
invoice. All accounts are payable to Signature
House. Payment must be made in U.S. funds. Wire
transfer details are available upon request.
West Virginia residents will pay a sales tax of
6% unless a resale number is filed with us prior
to the closing date. For sales outside of the USA
a credit card is requested.

13. Shipment is made via U.S. Postal Service or
Airborne unless otherwise instructed. Handling,
shipping and insurance charges are added to the
invoice. Oversize and foreign shipments are subject
to increased charges. All items are shipped

14. Golden Guarantee: All material is returnable within
seven days providing that it comes back in the same
condition. There is a lifetime guarantee on
authenticity to the original purchaser. The item(s)
must be returned with two letters denying it’s
