Cal. 30-06. S# 177. Bbl. 17 1/2" with muzzle brake & Century import marking. Blade front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated to 1400m. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt & front sight. Receiver ring is unmarked & left side of receiver has FN markings. Receiver is also notched. This type of FN carbine was made post war for varying foreign contracts & is labeled "Moroccan" by collectors but it is unknown exactly what countries used this model carbine. Blued & black enamel finishes. Hardwood stock set with bottom mounted & left side sling swivels. Front band swivel is reversed. Top & right side of butt have white paint "177" rack number. Short blued cleaning rod present. CONDITION: stock shows some chipping on forend from improper band removal, scattered dirt staining, dings & handling marks. Metal retains 60% mix of blue & enamel with flaking enamel on bottom metal, fading to gray on bands & scattered oxidation. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Near excellent bright bore (25-2670/MJC). CURIO. $300-500.
