<B>PORFIRIO SALINAS (1910-1973)</B></I><BR>Untitled Bluebonnets and Oak<BR>Oil on canvas<BR>20in. x 24in.<BR>Signed lower left<BR><BR>In this Hill Country bluebonnet scene, bluebonnets share the stage with a majestic oak tree. The road down the center of the painting assures the eye darts back and forth between middle and sides. The bluebonnets spread outward from the center of the painting to the edges. Occasional white prickly poppies and Indian paintbrushes add colored complexity to the composition. The mostly cloudy sky has occasional breaks of blue echoing the color of the carpet of flowers.<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent condition.
