Salinas" signature, placing its execution in the early to mid-1930s. This painting must be seen in person to fully appreciate the masterful brushwork throughout. The expressive brushwork in the sky and clouds produce movement as in nature. The trees and bluebonnets are accentuated with rich impasto. The surface of this painting is alive with movement and texture.<BR><BR>The arrangement of blues, pinks, and greens creates a tapestry-like effect. Finally, the composition with trees framing the left and right edges of the painting lead the viewers' eyes first to the bluebonnets in the foreground, and then deeper into the middle of the painting.
