PORCELAIN CANDELABRAS EAST GERMAN (?)
PORCELAIN: A very nice pair of porcelain candelabras, two parts consisting of the upper portion which has four candleholders 7¬'' H, excluding pin, the 5-footed lower part is 14'' H. The shape is that of a stylized tree against which rest two, one male and one female putto's. The female is holding a gold colored symbol like instrument. Surrounding the base and extending overall highlighting the gold embossed curves and flourishes. On the limbs of the candleholders, and a portion of the stem and at the base feature an array of flower tributes. The porting holding each pin upon which the top is placed has been unprofessionally glued into the top of the base. The candlesticks are not hallmarked but given the fineness of the porcelain and the coloring of the flowers, it is attributed to Dresden East Germany and made sometime post WWII. Over all height is 21''. Some minor chipping on the floral portions.
