PISSARRO, CAMILLE
(1830 - 1903) French painter and contemporary of Monet, identified with the Impressionists and later with pointillism. Uncommon A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., [France], Aug 19, 1897, in French to his daughter on the verso of a letter from her offering medical advice. In part: ""...for the sickness caused by the heat, it's arsenium...no raw fruits, no fresh vegetables - eggs and fish and lamb, but no veal, no beer, but red water..."". Interestingly, it was Pissarro's homeopathic treatments that eventually did him in! Very good condition.
