Captain Barbossa's (Geoffrey Rush) hero flintlock pistol from Gore Verbinski's action-adventure film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Barbossa carried his flintlock throughout the film as he sought to end the curse of Cortés' stolen Aztec gold. He notably shot Pintel (Lee Arenberg) with the pistol to see if the curse had been lifted, after dropping a coin covered in Elizabeth Swann's (Keira Knightley) blood into the Chest of Cortés.

The weapon is a reproduction Spanish Miquelet muzzle-loader, heavily customised for use on the production. It has a dark-coloured wooden stock, and comprises several brass and steel components. Ornate embossed filigree patterns decorate the barrel and trigger guard, and an array of metal detailing runs from the barrel to the grip, while two skull-shaped caps adorn the butt. The hammer and pan components located at the top of the weapon remain functional and the wooden ramrod is fixed in place. Intentional distressing is applied to the pistol to produce an aged and tarnished appearance, with intentional damage present on the barrel, and remnants of green paint applied to replicate a verdigris patina. The pistol exhibits signs of production use, including scratches and scuffs on the wooden stock. Dimensions: 50 cm x 6.5 cm x 17 cm (19 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 6 3/4")
