A Pinewood Studios Mitchell BNCR camera from the United Kingdom's famous film and television production facility Pinewood Studios. First introduced in 1967, the BNCR was the groundbreaking reflex successor to the industry standard BNC, allowing cinematographers to view and set up their shots as directly seen through the camera's lens without having to move the body of the camera.

This lot consists of a grey-painted metal camera body labeled "Pinewood Studios XR-309" and "Cinema Product Development Los Angeles, California" with a flip-open side panel and adjustable knobs; a black metal blimped CSC magazine that mounts to the top; a black metal-housed crystal-controlled D.C. camera motor with a black cord connecting to a cylinder-shaped element and a piece of white gaffer tape hand-labeled "30 FPS"; a silver-colour metal base that the camera mounts to; a metal filter mount labeled "85N6" with a sheet of dark tinted glass; a black metal matte box; one black road case with metal framing labeled "Crystal Motor Case-N 7030"; and a blue road case with metal framing labeled "Matte Box NCR 240 Case-N822I".

The lot is in good overall condition with some wear to both the camera and the boxes from use, age, and handling, including scuffing throughout the camera and accessories as well as discolouration to the metal elements of the road cases with some deterioration to any remnant padding or dividers within. The camera's current functionality is untested. Dimensions (largest): 71.25 cm x 51 cm x 61 cm (28" x 20" x 24"); (smallest): 16.75 cm x 12.75 cm (6 1/2" x 5")
