Signed cabinet photograph, a half-length portrait of the accomplished general in later years. Image by Sarony, New York, attributed at bottom border. Large signature boldly penned on mount beneath image, adding “<i>1890,</i>” also boldly signed on verso, adding “<i>New Orleans</i>” and “<i>Taken in 1883.</i>” Top left corner tip broken off; 1¼" vertical score at center of his face; light soiling; else VG.</span></p>

1. Auction Catalogue No. 19 is a Mail, Fax, Phone, Email and
Internet Live Bid Auction and is conducted under the laws of the State
of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
5. The Auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot for any
reason.
6. In the event of duplicate high bids, the earliest bid received
will be the winner.
