ALS, "Sheridan", 3pp, Mar 31, 1869, 8vo, personal sentiments. In part, "...Tell her we will be in...good time when I get East again & give her my best. I think Hannah just too lovely for anyone but you and I to be attached to - let's keep her for ourselves...I start for Chicago today...sorry I missed you when you called..." Matted with a sepia-toned reprint photograph of Sheridan seated outside his tent, and a handsome 9th New York Cavalry 50th Re-Union Ribbon (1911), with celluloid button. The 9th New York Cavalry served in Sheridan's Shenandoah Valley Campaign, August - November, 1864. VG. Nicely framed, so that last 2 pages of the letter can be seen. $500-750
