PERU, Lima, cob 2 reales, Philip II, assayer Diego de la Torre, *-ii to left, P-oD to right, no Grade on certificate, ex-Atocha Research Collection. S-L4; KM-9; Cal-338. 6.43 grams. Choice full inner details (the P-oD particularly bold) and much legend including PHILIPPVS, also a complete and well-detailed crown, practically no corrosion, nicely toned all over, highly desirable as among the 237 coins selected for the stand-alone Research Collection in 1988, all of which can be considered Grade 1 but never actually received a Grade. From the Atocha Research Collection (coin 99), with tag and original Fisher photo-certificate 85A-236650. Recovered from: Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
