ROUSH. Cal. 45 rifled bore. NSN. Bbl. 38" full oct. illegibly signed "DAVID ROUSH". The percussion lock is dated 1835. The rifle has dbl. set triggers & 4 piece brass patchbox w/ 8 piercings. Forestock has an 8" brass saddle plate. The gun features 22 silver inlays w/ a silver eagle inlay on the cheekpiece over brass pick inlay w/ 3 piercings. CONDITION: the wrist is broken through & repaired w/ 4 lg. brass sheet repairs. A great example for collectors looking to collect examples of early repair work.
