PAVEL BATOV
(1897 - 1985) Red Army general, held major commands during the battle for Crimea and for the Kerch Peninsula. Batov's forces were particularly critical at Stalingrad, Kursk, and advances through Belorussia, Poland (Brest-Lublin), and into East Prussia. Rare typed D.S., 1p. 4to., [n.p.], May 30, 1946, in Russian. Untranslated but likely concerns an award to a Pole or Russian who fought in Poland. Very good, with two associate documents.

Estimate: $250 - 350.
