Good lot of four items of ephemera, all related to the funeral of General and Chancellor of Germany PAUL VON HINDENBURG (1847-1934), including partly-printed document signed inviting a civil servant, Max Boehme, to attend Hindenburg's memorial service at the Tannenberg Memorial near Hohenstein in East Prussia, on August 7, 1934. The invitation further states that a special train will be available to transport mourners directly from Berlin to the memorial. With a program for the funeral service, featuring a musical selection from Beethoven, a military parade of honor, and of course, a speech by Adolf Hitler. With, partly-printed document signed granting Max Boehme the Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918, which was established by Hindeburg's decree of July 13, 1934, dated 12.13. 1934 in Berlin, signed at conclusion by a Berlin police official. With an unsigned printed document, inviting the recipient to a ceremony at the State Opera on April 2, 1935, celebrating the 'acquisition of the entire administration of justice to the Reich'. Events listed include a speech by Hermann Goering, as well as renditions of the 'Deutschlandlied' and the 'Horst-Wessel-Lied'. Mailing folds, else very good. Four pieces.
