PAUL VON HINDENBURG (1847 - 1934) German general and politician, crushed the Russians at Tannenburg and in Poland, forced to yield the Chancellor's office to Hitler in 1933. Partly-printed D.S., 1p. large 4to., Berlin, Mar. 3, 1934, granting dismissal to a building engineer from the Labor Service. Co-signed by WILHELM FRICK as Reich Minister of the Interior. Paperclip stain at top, else very good. With four related letters, untranslated.
