French politician and popular thirteenth president of the French Third Republic whose term was cut short by an assassin’s bullet. ISP, b/w, image 6½"x8½", overall 7½"x11¼" quarter-length printed portrait of the older statesman. Boldly inscribed and signed in bottom margin. In French. Newspaper clipping affixed to verso identifies this photograph as the last signed by Doumer. It was obtained by Morris Lieberman on May 15, 1932, just 24 hours before the assassination. Moderate/heavy wear; occasional corner and edge abrasions; small edge tears without paper loss, one touching “P” in signature; full length horizontal fold crease at top well above image; tape stain at right border; abrasions and stains on verso; o/w Fair to Good condition. Great historical political collectible.</span></p>

of West Virginia by Gil Griggs, Licensee of Charleston, W. V. License
No. 002.
2. Absentee bid closing date is April 5th, 2002, 10:00 PM EST.
3. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium charged on the final hammer price
of each lot. An additional 2½% Premium will be added to any lots
purchased through ebayliveauctions.com.
4. The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid for any
reason.
