THIS WATCH IS ACCOMPANIED BY AN EXTRACT FROM THE ARCHIVES CONFIRMING ITS MANUFACTURE AND SUBSEQUENT SALE IN 1958. THE CERTIFICATE FURTHER CONFIRMS THAT IT WAS BORN WITH THE PRESENT ROSE DIAL AND LUMINESCENT INDEXES.
THE MUCH SOUGHT-AFTER REFERENCE 2526 WAS PRESENTED IN 1953 AND WAS THE FIRST MODEL TO FEATURE PATEK PHILIPPE'S NEWLY INTRODUCED SELF-WINDING MOVEMENT, THE LEGENDARY CALIBER 12-600 AT.
WHEREAS THE MAJORITY OF REFERENCE 2526 WERE CASED IN YELLOW GOLD, MODELS IN PINK, WHITE GOLD AND PLATINUM WERE PRODUCED IN FAR FEWER NUMBERS. THE PRESENT WATCH, HOWEVER, IS MOST PROBABLY UNIQUE AS IT COMES WITH A ROSE DIAL. TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE IT IS THE ONLY PIECE IN PINK GOLD WITH SUCH A DIAL EVER TO BE OFFERED AT AUCTION. FURTHER RESEARCH WITH INTERNATIONAL COLLECTORS INDICATES THAT NO OTHER SIMILAR WATCH IS KNOWN TO EXIST. THE DIAL OF THE PRESENT WATCH COMES IN ITS ORIGINAL AND VERY CLEAN UNTOUCHED CONDITION. IT HAS THE HARD-ENAMELLED WRITING STILL BEAUTIFULLY RAISED. THE CASE COMES IN EQUALLY FRESH CONDITION, SHOWING HARDLY ANY WEAR OR POLISHING TO THE SURFACE.
