Highly detailed Parian vase. Parian ware is a molded
ceramic that simulates white marble. It was most often used to
make copies of famous statues antiquities, or original items
emulating Greek, Roman and Renaissance designs. This vase is
one of the latter. The molded flutes, acanthus leaves and
medallions are typical Victorian Renaissance Revival. Bunches of
grapes with leaves and vines are applied at the sides where the
neck meets the body.

Measures (inches) 4 across base, 8-1/4 tall

Very Good condition. A bit darkened by age. Delicate
tendrils beside the grapes are broken. No other chips, cracks or
other damage.
No marks. English or may be Bennington
Pottery.
