He was an established medical doctor when he began painting and traded medical services for art lessons with Porfirio Salinas. His paintings depict the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The late Lyndon B. Johnson ordered thirty paintings from Chrisman one year to be given as Christmas gifts from the White House.<BR><BR>The influence of his friend and artistic mentor, Porifio Salinas can be seen in all of Palmer Chrisman's canvases.<BR><BR>Acquired by descent from the artist by the present owner.<BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> Excellent condition.
