<B>PAIR OF DINOSAUR FOOT CLAWS</B></I><BR><BR> <I>Thescelosaurus garbannii<BR>Upper Cretaceous<BR>Hell Creek Formation, Harding Co., South Dakota</B></I><BR>Thescelosaurus was one of the last dinosaurs to walk the earth before the devastating Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event wiped them all out forever, approximately 65.5 million years ago. It was a Hypsilophodontid, small swift ornithopod dinosaurs whose feet ended in hoof-like tips like those of various others of the bird-hipped dinosaurs. They were a specialized omnivore, with a toothed beak like a turtle, and the fine state of the remains that have been found in North America suggest that they may have preferred to live near streams or bodies of water.
