PAIR OF CITRINE GEODE HALVES
PAIR OF CITRINE GEODE HALVES
Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
This exceptional pair of citrine-lined "cathedrals" was sawn from one geode to reveal the beautiful citrine crystal-encrusted cavity within. Each half measures 44½ inches high and 13¼ inches wide at the base, and both interiors are lined with rich citrine crystals of a beautifully deep Madeira color, the most sought after hue of this mineral. The aesthetic appeal is further enhanced by the handful of large calcite crystals that generously stud each inner cavity, and by the polished edges which frame the glittering interior. A member of the quartz family, citrine is often referred to as gold topaz, or Madeira or Spanish topaz, although it shares little in common with that gemstone apart from an occasional similarity in color. In ancient times citrine was thought to offer protection from snake venom and "evil thoughts"; sometimes known as the "success stone" or "merchant's stone", it is also said to attract wealth and prosperity if carried on the person or positioned correctly in the home or place of business. In the metaphysical study of crystals it is said to be beneficial for the stomach and digestion (associated with the solar plexus chakra), to relieve depression, self-doubt and anger, and to be excellent at dissipating negative energy of all kinds.

Shipping: Requires 3rd Party Shipping (view shipping information)
