<B>P. T. Barnum Autograph Letter Signed.</B></I> One page, 5" x 7.5" on Barnum's Americana Museum letterhead, New York, November 9, 1855, to "<I>Chas H Anderson Esq</B></I>" in response to an autograph request. In full: "<I>Dear Sir. Yours of yesterday is recd & I hasten to comply with your request. Truly Yours P. T. Barnum</B></I>". This letterhead is of special note as it gives detailed information on his American Museum down the left side. Barnum (1810-1891) was America's first great showman who made a fortune in the entertainment business. His circus, "P. T. Barnum's Greatest Show on Earth," through various mergers, become the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus which is still entertaining millions today.
