P. G. WODEHOUSE Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse (1881-1975). English-born American novelist, playwright and humorist. He was best known for his fictional creations, the hapless young gentleman. Bertie Wooster, and his most efficient butler, Jeeves. TLS, 1p, 12mo, Remsenburg, NY, Mar 19, 1963. On his personal imprinted stationery to Mr. Bloomer. Nice content. He writes, “That was funny about The Butler Did It. I originally called it Something Fishy, but my publisher wanted a longer title. I must say The Butler Did it, though misleading, fits the story. I’m so glad you liked Ice In The Bedroom. I have just finished a new one which has come out very well, though I still think the end wants fixing...” Boldly signed, adding “It always does!!” in his holograph, referring to the last line of his letter. Some toning, especially at edges; mounting remnants on verso; else in good condition.
