Over and under flintlock two shot tap-action pistol signed “Twigg, London” with brass frame and of diminutive size. The pistol measures 6” overall with 1 ½” barrels of approximately .36 caliber false rifled. The barrels show considerable traces of an old blue finish with some scattered pitting and erosion. The brass frame is fairly sharp with good engraving. The pistol shows its original parts and the stocks are good with some minor nicks and mars. Twigg was one of the top London makers in the early 19th century. Est.: $800-$1,600.
