Outstanding lifetime collection of 123 original Wells Fargo and Co. and other express envelopes, most addressed and with stamps and franks plus some misc. mid-1850s correspondences, unused express stamps, etc. including a significant amount of envelopes with Wells Fargo franks from famous gold rush era towns including Eureka, San Francisco, Sonora, Volcano, Tuolumne, Columbia, Chinese Camp, Downieville, Grass Valley, Georgetown, Howlands, Nevada City, Sierra City, Marysville, etc.; additional cancellations from Stockton, Sacramento, San Jose, etc. and covering the period of the 1870’s thru the turn of the 19th to 20th century; additional envelopes from such Express Co.s as J. Bamber & Co., Truman & Co., Pacific Union Express Co., Northern Express Co., Wells Fargo & Co. Mexicana stations and others. A truly fine grouping of collectible Express materials in overall very good to fair condition. It is unlikely one could get this type of “instant” collection of great envelopes w/franks without spending thousands of dollars and wearing out a lot of shoe leather and/or fingertips on the internet. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence.
