Outstanding collectible Winchester M1 military carbine, cut away model, .30 cal., 18-1/2” barrel, parkerized finish, wood stock, checkered steel butt plate, #1180850. This rare cut away is in near mint condition showing “W” marking on barrel, flip up rear sight, sling swivel, approx. 99%+ military finish on metal surfaces, fine bore, crisp action and excellent wood stock with “TF” and “PMC” stampings inside the left sling opening at the butt stock. Cut aways are expertlyaccomplished and highlighted in red epoxy including a cut away of the trigger group, bolt, firing pin, recoil spring, breech and a cut away magazine with dummy rounds that actually feed into the chamber for demonstration purposes only.These were the types of cut aways used to train new soldiers and mostly received heavy use as training room props. This is the best one of these examples this cataloger has seen in many years. A must for the serious M1 carbine ormilitary arms collector’s gunroom. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
