Outstanding World War II, 42 Dated Mauser Banner Police Contract Luger Pistol Rig with Two Matching Magazines, Numbered Matching 1939 Dated Police Holster and Numbered Tool

This is an excellent example of a 1942 production WWII Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with "Eagle/L" Police proof. The top of the chamber area is stamped "1942" and the large Mauser/Banner logo is marked on the front toggle. The standard "Eagle/L" Police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, and the Nazi "Eagle/N" commercial proofmark is stamped on the left side of the receiver and the breechblock. The full serial number "5324" is stamped on the front of the frame and left side of the barrel extension, with the last two digits of the serial number "24" stamped on the various small parts. The underside of the barrel is stamped with only the bore diameter, "8,82". The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. Complete with two original blue Police magazines, with the blued magazine body and the pinned aluminum bases marked "2/5324" and "3/5324". Also comes with a 1939 dated "SCHAMBACH&Co./BERLIN/1939/Police Proof" holster which is also numbered "5324" to the Luger and a numbered (5324) takedown tool.

Manufacture: Mauser
Model: P08
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 5324y

Excellent with 98% plus of the original blue finish overall with only a hint of edge and high spot wear on the muzzle, side plate and front edges of the frame rails. The grips are also excellent with nice sharp distinct checkering on both sides. The holster is near excellent with a nice brown exterior that only shows some minor scuffing and scratches on the front of the holster. The markings are clear and distinct and the stitching is tight. As noted, this desirable P.08 Police Luger has all matching numbers to include both magazines, the holster and tool. You will look a long time to find another example like this one!
