Outstanding WWII Gustloff-Werke bcd Code G43 Semi-Automatic Rifle with Sling
This is a nice "bcd" code G43 rifle that was manufactured by Gustloff-Werke. These rifles were the first true production G43 rifles. They are characterized by the type 1 milled receiver and milled components. It is estimated that only approximately 40,000 of this type were produced with the probability that this model was assembled at the Buchenwald concentration camp under the SS, as noted in "Hitler's Garands". The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number over "bcd", the war time code for Gustloff-Werke, Buchenwald followed by "WaA134" Waffenampt proof, and "G 43" followed by the Nazi firing proof. The matching numbered bolt carrier is also the early type 1 milled version similar to the G41 series of rifles and it retains the solid cocking knob on the left side and the bolt hold open latch on the right side. The receiver is absent of the dovetailed scope rail. The action housing is the correct stamped version with the automatic dust cover. The rifle is equipped with a threaded barrel, raised ramp hooded front sight, rear tangent sight graduated to 1200 meters and cleaning rod with slotted head. The stock and handguard are laminated, with the cupped buttplate, Waffenamt proof in the grip and matching serial number on the bottom. Complete with an "aye" code, G43 magazine and brown leather cross hatch sling.
