Manufactured in 1979 and beautifully engraved and gold inlaid by Colt Master Engraver Leonard Francolini. The revolver features factory Class B floral scroll engraving on the barrel, unfluted cylinder, frame, back strap and trigger guard. The scroll engraving on top of the barrel has gold inlaid accents. There is a thin gold inlaid band around the muzzle and breech end. There are gold inlaid wire border on the frame and a thin gold inlaid band around the front and back of the cylinder. The left rear of the frame has a gold inlaid howling coyote with a gold moon and background engraving and there is gold inlaid buffalo with a wooded background on the right side. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45", and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and left side of the front and back strap under the grip. Colt triangle "VP, "K" and "D" marked trigger guard and fitted with smooth factory ivory grips with gold Colt medallions. The inside of each panel is numbered "4058" and is carved "46/C-26/AJE/INDIA". The accompanying factory letter is for both revolvers, as they were shipped together, verifying the consecutive serial numbers, caliber, barrel length, Royal blue finish, "Plain Ivory" grips, Class B engraving by Colt Master Engraver Leonard Francolini and that the two were shipped to Sloan's Sporting Goods Co., 10 South St. Ridgefield, Conn. On September 5, 1979. The remarks detail the gold inlays and also states that "Records also indicate the above, were guns number 4 and 5 of the last ten guns engraved by Mr. Francolini while in Colt's employ."

B) Manufactured in 1979, this revolver features a decorative scroll pattern gold inlaid wire design on top of the barrel, a thin gold inlaid band around the muzzle and breech ends of the barrel, front and rear end of the unfluted cylinder and bordering the frame. The left rear of the frame has a gold inlaid Rampant Colt with background engraving and the right side has a gold inlaid eagle with background engraving. The top of the barrel is marked with the one line address, the left side is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .45" and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the Rampant Colt. Colt triangle "VP", "K" and "1" marked trigger guard and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the left side of the front and back straps under the grip. Fitted with smooth two-piece ivory grips with gold colt medallions. The inside of the left panel is marked "56/C-26/AJE/INDIA" and the right panel is marked with the matching serial number "4059" and "C-/AJE/INDIA" are visible.
