<B>Outstanding Multicolor War of 1812 Creamware Pitcher.</B></I> Patriotic "Arms of the United States" vignette on either side of the body in which an American eagle stands upon a cannon barrel. A musket and 16-star American flag complete each colorful scene. A wreathed "Free Trade and Sailors Rights" slogan is placed prominently under spout. Britain's strangle hold on trade and their policy of impressing American sailors on the high seas into the Royal navy were major issues of the war. Beautiful condition with only minimal paint chips along the rim.
