Outstanding Engraved Gold Inlaid Belgium Browning Grade VI Superposed 20 Gauge Two Barrel Set Shotgu
Manufactured in 1959, this Belgium made Grade VI shot gun features two sets of 20 gauge barrels. Each set of barrels features a single ivory bead sight on the matte vent rib with the standard rear barrel marking, both are numbered to the gun, (numbered "1" and "2" under the serial number), are chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" shells with ejectors. Each has it's own extra fancy, nicely grained checkered walnut forearms, engraved lugs and forearm hardware and a wedge of floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the upper rear sides. The 28" barrels are choked full/modified and the 26 1/2" set are choked modified/improved cylinder. The receiver, long tang trigger guard and break lever are engraved with floral scroll and punch dot designs with three gold inlaid quails in a wooded scene with wire inlaid wire border, three gold inlaid ducks in a wooded marsh scene with gold inlaid wire bordering are on the right side and there is a gold inlaid pheasant on the bottom of the receiver. Gold washed single trigger, tang mounted safety/selector with gold inlaid "S", "O" and "U" and mounted with a finely checkered extra fancy round knob walnut pistol grip stock with a black plastic Browning buttplate. Complete in a Browning hard leather takedown case with purple velvet lining.

Condition: Excellent. The barrels (both sets) retain 99% plus original blue finish with some light wear on the lower barrel ahead of the forearm. The forearms, receiver and stock are as new. The case is good with some edge wear, minor scuffs, some loose stitching on one of the end reinforcements and some very minor contact wear to the lining.
