Outstanding Custom Order Luciano Bosis Over and Under Shotgun with Gold Inlay
Manufactured in Italy, Bosis is the maker of high grade over/under and side by side shotguns on a custom made to order basis only to precise individual specifications. There is a 3 year waiting period once a shotgun is ordered and as this writer understands, a large deposit is required before work will begin. The frames of these shotguns are painstakingly finished by hand inside and out. The chopper lump barrels are made of superior quality materials, are worked inside and out and carefully measured for thickness and concentricity. The barrels, trigger guard and break lever are blue and the frame and side locks casehardened. The upper barrel side projections, frame, side plates, break lever, trigger guard, tangs and upper portion of the safety lever have gold inlay wire bordering. The underside of the frame has "LUCIANO BOSIS / BRESCIA" in gold inlay. The barrels feature a solid matte rib with a single brass bead sight, 2 7/8" chambers, choked extra full/modified with ejectors. The lower barrel is marked on the left side with an importer mark under the forearm and the left side upper barrel is marked "LUCIANO BOSIS, BRESCIA." in gold inlaid. Uniquely recess sculpted and engraved fences/recoil shields, single select trigger, tang safety and mounted with deluxe highly figured Turkish walnut finely checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with gold inlay wire bordering on the hardware and gold Luciano Bosis logo on the forearm and a checkered bare butt. The shotgun is complete in a aluminum case with combination lock and black lining. Weight 5 lbs. 13 1/2 oz., length of pull 14 1/4", drop at comb 1", drop at heel 1 3/8", cast on 1/2", and toe out 1".

Excellent plus. The barrels retain nearly all original blue finish with only light handling marks and a couple of light scratches. All of the original case colors. The wood is excellent plus with a couple of very tiny dings and light handling marks. A unique opportunity to own a high grade Bosis rare 28 gauge shotgun without the 3 year wait.
