Outstanding Colt U.S. Property Model 1911 U.S. Navy marked semi-auto pistol, .45 cal., 5” barrel, blue finish, checkered diamond wood grips, two-tone lanyard ring magazine, #109684. This gun is in overall super fine condition showing approx. 99%+ original finish, with sharp markings, crisp action, fine bore and excellent grips; Navy marked 1911’s are hard to find and this is one of the best this cataloger has seen in many years. The barrel is “P” and “H” proofed and the entire gun shows little handling. Accompanied by Colt factory letter confirming features with stocks “Not listed”; sold to the US Government Commanding Officer, Ordnance Base Depot., Greenville Piers, Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 21, 1918, in a shipment of 5,000 guns.
