Outstanding Colt SAA U.S. Artillery Model revolver, .45 cal., 5-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #116649. This gun is in excellent near mint condition showing approx. 99% original factory orarsenal finish, minty bore, crisp action, sharp markings, “D.F.C.” inspected frame, trigger guard is numbered 10685 and Ainsworth inspected, backstrap is numbered 17619, cylinder is “R.A.C.” inspected, barrel shows“P” proof and is numbered 7523; grips are excellent with sharp “RAC” cartouche on left grip and “R.A.C.” stamped initials on the bottom of each grip. In our opinion, this is one of the best condition Artillery Colts we have seen and worthy of inclusion in any museum’s or serious collector’s inventory. Est.: $9,000-$18,000.
