<B>Outstanding Buffalo Bill On Horseback Photograph Signed</B></I> "<I>W.F. Cody, Buffalo Bill, Feb 21, 1914</B></I>". B&W photo, 6.5" x 7.5". Buffalo Bill is shown wearing his trademark white suit on his white horse at the monument where the Pony Express started. In 1860, when the Pony Express started, it advertised for skinny expert riders willing to risk death daily! Cody, a seasoned rider and plainsman at 14 signed on for the job. The Pony Express route was Cody's first foray into the western wilderness where he began his life as a western legend. Images of Cody on horseback are scarce. This Pony Express shot is particularly desirable. Professionally mounted to archival board. Signed in fountain pen.
