<B>Abraham Lincoln: An Outstanding Civil War Era CDV with Advertising.</B></I> An oval albumen portrait of Lincoln set into an embossed frame graces the center of this colorful carte surrounded by advertising for Dr. Bicknels' syrup. "Is really a genuine article. All physicians, druggists and others who taste it, pronounce it such" is the claim. "Warrantied to cure cholera". One wonders how that claim would stand up in today's litigious culture!
