TLS signed “Otto von Osterreich,” one page, 8.25 x 11.75, personal letterhead, November 11, 1960. Letter to Professor Gottfried Dietze thanking him for his book and their chat together. In part: “Warmest thanks for…your book…which I heard so much praise and which I look very much forward to read soon. I enjoyed so much talking with you at the Mont Pelerin meeting." In fine condition.

Gottfried Dietze (1922-2006), the letter recipient, a WW2 German soldier, was professor of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University for over 50 years. His most widely read publication 'The Federalist' (1960) is likely the work Prince Otto received. Both the Prince and Dietze were members of the Mont Pelerin Society, an international neoliberal organization formed in 1947 that is composed of leading economists, philosophers, historians, intellectuals, and business leaders.
