Influential German statesman (1815–1898), known as the “Iron Chancellor,” who served as the first Chancellor of the German Empire from 1871–1890. ALS in German, signed “v Bismarck,” one page, 8.5 x 5.5, January 10, 1874. Letter to bank owner Bleichröder to pay for his son Count Wilhelm von Bismarck-Schönhausen in Wiesbaden the amount of 700 Taler and to charge to his account. In very good condition, with partial separation along bisecting vertical fold, as well as toning along bottom portion of fold and bottom edge.
